What we'll do

What we'll do

We will start the trip as usual - from briefing and getting familiar with the equipment. If you've never paddled a canoe before, there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Janis (your guide) will not only show you how to manage your canoe properly but will also help you safely load all your inventory. Expand…
This trip is about food as much as about paddling, that's why everyone will receive not only a paddle and a vest but a complete set of cooking utensils, two comfortable seats, and even a personal table. Yes, it will be very convenient!

Our goal is an uninhabited island, where we will set-up... one of a kind restaurant! Not just any restaurant, but the one where you will be the chef! Of course, with a little help from a real chef -Jolanta.

Jolanta will guide you through the entire process. You will prepare an easy yet delicious brunch, nothing to worry about - we will have all ingredients and recipes prearranged in advance. You will have your own personal kitchen set and a table with comfortable chairs to enjoy the meal.

For the rest of the culinary expedition, you will enjoy what is only available to our customers who appreciate special experiences - gourmet food, a soothing wilderness and a freshly brewed coffee.

We promise that you will forget all the rush of modern civilization and will leave all the worries some were far-far away. We all need to escape to an uninhabited island sometimes, don't we?

What to wear while canoeing is important.

When the air and water are warm, simply dress for a day at the beach. Keeping in mind to wear things that protect you from the sun and keep you cool.

When the air is cool, you have to assess the conditions and your capabilities more carefully.

The key concept to bear in mind is layering. Several thin garments will keep you just as warm as a single thicker one, and are much more versatile. Remember you’ll need to think about staying cool as much as staying warm, and you can always add or subtract layers. The base-layer provides insulation and picks up perspiration and either absorbs it (like cotton or wool) or wicks it outward (like synthetic fibers). You want moisture to be wicked away. The insulating layer can be wool, fleece, or a similar material. Look for garments that are cut to allow complete freedom of movement. The outer layer protects you, the base-layer, and the insulating layer from the elements. Make sure it is both windproof and waterproof.

Footwear can range from old sneakers to hiking boots, to rubber boots.
